In its final episode of the season, “Saturday Night Live” featured an opening sketch with James Austin Johnson impersonating former President Donald J. Trump. The sketch depicted Trump making remarks during his hush-money trial, expressing his dislike of being in court and joking about the situation. Johnson portrayed Trump as finding it preferable to complain about an election being rigged and raise money to stop the alleged steal rather than being president again. The episode was hosted by Jake Gyllenhaal and had Sabrina Carpenter as the musical guest.
