The CEO of an airline has acknowledged the frustration of customers who were sold tickets for flights that had already been canceled. The CEO stated that everyone feels the pain and that both customers and employees were let down. The airline was accused of selling tickets for more than 8,000 flights that were canceled, affecting over 86,000 customers. The airline agreed to pay a settlement of 120 million Australian dollars, with a portion going to affected customers. The CEO emphasized that the airline is focused on repairing relationships with passengers and staff, including investing in improving the in-flight experience.
