Harley-Davidson Ends Diversity Initiatives Following Pressure Campaign
Harley-Davidson announced its decision to terminate diversity and other progressive initiatives on Monday. The company stated that it no longer operates a DEI function and does not have hiring quotas or supplier diversity spend goals. While Harley-Davidson plans to review its sponsorships and affiliations, it intends to discontinue support for LGBTQ+ Pride festivals and prioritize motorcycling. The brand faced online pressure from a conservative activist, leading to the shift in its policies. Tractor Supply and John Deere have also recently backtracked on similar initiatives after pressure campaigns.
