Boeing's next big problem could be a strike by 32,000 workers

Boeing, the troubled aerospace company, could face a strike by its workers later this month. The contract between Boeing and the International Association of Machinists is due to expire soon, and both sides appear to be far apart on key issues such as wages, health care, retirement, and time off. The workers are angry over previous concessions made by the union and want them to be recaptured in the new deal. The strike could further add to Boeing’s problems, including fatal crashes, accusations of prioritizing profits over safety, tanking sales, criminal charges, and financial losses. Avoiding a strike is a priority for both parties, but reaching an agreement in the remaining time seems challenging.
