World’s Largest Energy Plant Being Built in India’s Desert #

A major energy project in western India is transforming a barren salt desert into one of the largest clean energy sources in the world. Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), a subsidiary of the Adani Group, is constructing a solar and wind power plant in Gujarat. Once completed in five years, it will be the world’s biggest renewable park and will generate enough electricity to power 16 million Indian homes. The success of this project is crucial for India to meet its climate goals and reduce pollution, as coal still accounts for 70% of the country’s electricity generation. The Adani Group plans to invest $100 billion into clean energy over the next decade.
