This festive season, consumers are spending more on expensive items like cars, smartphones and televisions. They also spend more on two-wheelers, household appliances, and other big ticket items. In the first phase of festive sales, which spans from Navratri through to Dussehra (the period between Navratri and Dussehra), several brands and categories have surpassed or come close to matching last year's total.
Sterlite Power, GIC plan $1-B Transmission JV
