Birmingham-based pizza restaurant joins lineup for Atlanta food hall
The Lee + White development in Atlanta is getting new restaurants, including one from Birmingham.

The planned food hall in Southwest Atlanta's Lee + White Development will include new restaurants, including one from Birmingham.
Ackerman & Co., MDH Partners, and Lee + White's owners Ackerman & Co. announced that Dough Boy Pizza and Good Azz Burgers have signed leases for the Westside Trail development, which is located on the Atlanta BeltLine.
Birmingham's Dough Boy Pizza offers Neopolitan pies topped with both traditional and nontraditional toppings. The latter includes short ribs with caramelized onion and crawfish. According to an announcement, it will be Dough Boy’s second metro Atlanta store.
Dough Boy Pizza is a fast casual pizza restaurant that was created by Mobile native Erica Barrett. It originally opened in August 2022 at The Pizitz Food Hall.
Barrett, owner of SOCU Southern kitchen & oyster bar in the Pizitz Food Hall, says that Dough Boy Pizza is a concept that will help control food and labor costs. This is the perfect pizza for the millennials who want to grab and go. We wanted to create a restaurant that would be the future.
Barrett was creating SOCU when she discovered a brick oven. She immediately thought of opening a pizzeria. She imported additional pizza ovens to Italy and took inspiration from authentic Italian pizza making. This style defines the restaurant.
Vietvana and Sakura Sake Bar & Bottles are among the other restaurants that will be opening in Atlanta's food hall.
The food hall has now 14 tenants. According to an announcement, it is expected to open in early June. Cielito Lindo and Costa Coffee were among the tenants previously announced.
